Charles W. Smith is a devoted and experienced funeral home owner and director. His passion for excellence started in 1963 while working with his father-in-law, Bill Spurlock.
He currently owns four funeral homes in the DFW Metroplex area. His industry leadership abilities were used with his involvement in the aftermath of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing of the Alfred P. Murray building.
Charles and his father Floyd Smith opened Pet Rest Memorial Park and Crematory in December 1977 in Sachse, Texas. For many years, it was the only pet cemetery in Dallas County with over 22,000 pets interred.
Mike Felix is a Fort Worth, Texas native, married for over 40 years with two daughters, one son and granddaughters.
He is a 2016 graduate of the Amarillo College of Mortuary Science.
Mike is the former Mayor of Sachse, Texas, having served six terms. His first election to the Sachse Mayorship was in May 2004. He served as a Sachse Councilman from 1992-2003.
His favorite word is Ministry.
Raini Day is a Garland, Texas native who has been a resident of Sachse since 2007.
She has been married for over 20 years to Doug and they have a son and a daughter.
Raini brings over 20 years of office management and ministry experience.

Jo Nell is a Sachse native and has lived in the area all her life. She has one son, one daughter and one grandson.
She enjoys working with people and enjoys the loving, caring atmosphere that Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home provides to families at the time of loss.
Jo Nell brings extensive experience in office management and the insurance industry. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling in her spare time.

Reggie is a native of Garland, Texas. He has 2 sons and 7 grandchildren. He retired from the Auto Sales Industry after 32 years.
He has been a member of Family Cathedral Church in Forney for 14 years.
Max is a Sherman, Texas native who has been married since 1979 to his wife Linda.
He has lived in the Dallas area since 1973.
He brings funeral service experience with Charles W. Smith since 1997.
Max is a Veteran of the United States Army.
Joe is a native of Jacksonville, located in Cherokee County in East Texas.
He is single with one daughter and one grandchild.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Abilene Christian University.
He is a United States Navy Veteran.
Ruben and his wife Linda have been married for 42 years. He is retired from Kraft Foods after 32 years. They have 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. I am Saved and I Know That I. AM.
Cheyenne is a 2015 graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.
She understands the merit of building bonds of trust within the communities she serves and is honored when families return to celebrate lives generationally.
When Cheyenne is away from work, she enjoys quality time with her husband Andrew, their precious fur-babies, and 6 nieces.

Virginia is a native of Garland, TX and has lived in Lavon for the past 18 years.
She has been married to her husband Paul for 30 years. They have one daughter and two sons.
After leaving corporate life to raise her children, she now joins Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Lavon.
Virginia looks forward to taking an active part in the community and helping all families who come to our location.
Andrew M. Ortiz is a native of Odessa, Texas.
A 1999 graduate of the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science, he is a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas.

Makenzie is a Little Elm, Texas native, that has lived in Amarillo, Texas before moving back to the area and settling down in Plano, Texas.
She has always had a passion for the funeral industry and has wanted to work as a funeral director ever since she was a child.
