Charles W. Smith and Sons have established a uniform payment policy to serve all families fairly and to prevent misunderstandings. This payment policy enables us to contain our costs to all families we serve.
Charles W. Smith and Son’s payment policy requires that all financial arrangements must be completed prior to the setting of Services or viewing times. If the family has already confirmed times prior to making actual arrangements, the financial arrangement must be completed prior to the casketing of Remains.
The following payment options are acceptable:
- Cash or personal checks. Third-party checks are not acceptable.
- Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
- Assignable insurance, for a face value of the policy only, once the assignability and beneficiary have been verified by the insurance company. Policies, under two years old, are general contestable and may not be acceptable. If insurance is accepted, there is an administrative fee of $150.00 to process the assignment. No cash advance items will be accepted in the assignment.
Charles W. Smith and Sons does not accept payment from “Estate Funds”.

Our Funeral Home makes no representation of warranties regarding caskets, outer burial containers, urns or other funeral goods sold by the Funeral Home. The only warranties granted, express or implied in connection with the goods sold with this Funeral Service are to express written warranties, if any, extended by the manufacturers thereof. No other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are extended by the Funeral Home.
