Wilma Jo “Polly” James – Prosper, TX

Polly would like to let you know that her work here on Earth is done. She received a call from the Man upstairs, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus – a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time including her parents Ruby and John Templeman, her sister Joyce Roberts, her husband Mayfield James, Jr. and her granddaughter, Desiree Bedford. At the time of the call she was 4 days from reaching her 87th birthday.

Polly’s three children – Caron, Nickey & Tony want to let everyone know she did a great job and will be greatly missed but never forgotten as she will live in their hearts forever. Polly’s grandchildren – Jennifer, Luke, Brittany, Brad, Bethany & Don will always remember her smile, her love for music, dancing and God’s warm sunshine where she spent hours outside in her garden and yard and her dogs that were always beside her. Polly’s 12 great grandchildren cherish all the memories they had with her. Polly’s brother Eddie says she was the rock in the family, the foundation that kept everyone together and when the rest of us get to Heaven we will meet at Polly’s. Her long-time companion of over 30 years, Raymond Johnson, will treasure the time they had together.

Polly worked hard all her life, even after retiring from Mahard Egg Farm she never slowed down.

Polly’s new mission takes her to a wonderful place – Heaven. We rejoice in her life that touched many and praise God for the time we had with her. The celebration of Polly’s life will be led by Chaplain, Jonathan Sherman at Charles W Smith & Sons Funeral Home, McKinney, TX with visitation on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and a graveside service at Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, TX on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00 am.
