William Roger Striplin

William Roger Striplin, 71,of Blue Ridge, Texas, passed away on December 9, 2012. He was born November 30, 1941 in McKinney, Texas to Jack Edison and Cora Lee Rogers Striplin. He was a plumber by trade. He married Dona Jean Pearce on December 29, 1979 in McKinney, Texas. He was a good husband and father and loved his family and friends. He loved gardening and working on his many tractors. He played the guitar and hormonica.
He is survived by:
Wife: Dona Striplin; Daughters: Melanie & Eric Thompson of The Colony; Deborah and Dan Janes of The Colony, Texas; Nine Grandchildren: Colter Biggs, Erica Thompson, Tyler Biggs, Kaitlyn Page, Andrea Thompson, Allee Page, Jesse Janes, William Janes and John Michael Janes; Brothers: Kenneth Striplin from Hughes Springs, Texas, Ray Striplin of Gainesville, Texas, Gary Striplin of Merit, Texas and David Striplin of McKinney, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-daughter: Laura Page.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1995 F. M. 546, McKinney, Texas 75069.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA or Watchtower Bible and Track Society.
