Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Temple Gattis; and his niece, Anita DaOnne Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Gattis; son, Medwin Gattis and his wife, April; two daughters, Lynette Matson and Lori Kent and her husband, Steven; step-son, Lee Richardson; step-daughter, Barbara Gentry and her husband, Randy; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Jimmie Maxine Duncan; two brother in-laws, Alton Jackson and William Jackson and his wife, Ann; aunt, Dutch Gattis; nephew, Jimmie Duncan and his wife, Karen; niece, Denice Beard and her husband, Harold; cousin, Helen Johnson; and his very best friend, Lynn Ray.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048.
Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 30, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas 75048. Chaplain Don Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Sachse Cemetery, Sachse, Texas.
