Bill Brashear, age 90, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away March 31, 2014 in Plano, Texas. He was born September 24, 1923 in Jacksonville, Texas to William Anthony and Georgia Scarborough Brashear.
Bill attended high school in Ingleside, Texas and served in the United States Air Corp during World War II in the Pacific. Bill had a long career as both an oil & gas geologist in Amarillo and Midland, Texas and a mining geologist in Casper, Wyoming. Bill was an accomplished artist and storyteller. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Plano for over twenty-five years.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jamie Brashear; his parents, William and Georgia Brashear; two brothers, Doyle Brashear and Harold Brashear; and three sisters, Bonnie Deathe, Lelia Anderson and Elaine Fister.
Bill is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Marge Brashear; son, Robert Brashear and his ex-wife, Kimberlie; daughter, Rebecca Ann Brashear; grandson, Christopher Brashear; granddaughter, Meredith Brashear; niece, Ann Fox; and nephew, Bill French.
