William Lee Baker, 69, of Princeton, TX passed away on March 7, 2017. He was born on June 27, 1947 in Bryan, Ohio to Leonard E. (Pete) and Mary A. (Kreischer) Baker. Bill graduated from Bossier City High School in Louisiana; Bachelor Degree from Bowling Green University, MBA Golden State University. Bill was a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1975; he was awarded the Junior Officer of the Year. His occupation was Sales, Sales Manager and Trainer.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Baker; two sons, Chris Baker of Austin, TX and Greg Baker of Columbus, OH; one sister, Cheryle Baker of Montpelier, OH; and aunts, Denny Utley and Jewel Utley both of Montpelier, OH; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jennifer Meier, step-daughter, Tom Meier, son-in-law and Jason Meier, grandson of Little Elm, TX.
Bill was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Princeton, TX. He was the Leader of the Greeters Ministry, member of the Long Range Planning Committee and Safety Committee. His civic activities include membership of the Economic Development Corporation, Princeton, TX and Princeton Mayor’s Advisory Committee. Bill liked spending time with family and friends, classic cars, auctions and travel. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoyed coaching people.
A Memorial Service will be heldat 2:00 pm, March 18that Faith Baptist Church,1306 N. 6th Street, Princeton, TX 75407.
