Wester Grant Halterbaum

Wester Grant Halterbaum, age 92 of Murphy, TX, passed away on January 21, 2017 in Richardson, TX. He was born on July 27, 1924 in Deputy, IN to Orin and Naomi (Creech) Halterbaum. Wester served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and he married Lila Lee Koons in 1947 in Clinton, IL. Wester worked as an electrician for 35 years, and he enjoyed welding, making furniture and working with his hands. He was a member of a Masonic Lodge in St. Louis, MO.Wester is survived by his daughter, Mary Radosz; son, Stever Halterbaum and wife, Cathy; four grandsons, Jay Halterbaum, Scott Halterbaum, Brad Halterbaum, and Matt Radosz; four sisters, Marge Donnelly, Millie Bates, Madge Smith, and Shirley Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 45 years, Lila.A memorial service will be held at a later date in Illinois.
