Wesley Harold Andrews was born in Pasadena, Texas on December 27, 1943 to Leland Leroy Andrews and Grace Orick. He passed away in McKinney, Texas on June 14, 2013.
Wes grew up in East Missouri. After finishing school, he served three terms in the United States Army. He was employed by the Iron Workers Local 498 in Rockford, Illinois up until his retirement.
Wes would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He was the greatest husband, father or friend you could ever have the honor of knowing. He was passionate about history and loved to ride his Harley. He loved to play poker, and if you knew him in your lifetime... you held a winning hand!
He is survived by his daughters Lisa Andrews Paulson and family, and Cindy Andrews Koopman and family; his sister Leona and family, and brother Leland and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leland, his mother, Grace, and baby sister Susie.
We are celebrating Wes's life at the Lisa Andrews-Paulson Cancer benefit being held at Mustangs Bar and Grill July 13, starting at 3pm, and located at 482 Gardner St. South Beloit, Illinois 61080. A poker run for the cancer benefit will also include a memorial ride for Wes.
