It is with great sadness that the family of Virginia "Ginger" Ann McNeill announces her passing on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at the age of 77 years. Ginger (affectionately known to her grandchildren as "Honey") was a resident of Royse City, Texas.
A beautiful, gentle Christian, she was born in Cooper, Texas on May 11, 1944, to Virgil and Ruth Reel of Ladonia.
A former resident of Rockwall for over 30 years, Ginger was a beloved teacher in the Rockwall ISD for over 20 years, earning a distinguished Teacher of the Year award. She also previously co-owned The French Bunny, a boutique and gift shop in historic downtown Farmersville and was a member of First Baptist Church of Rockwall.
Ginger will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Karmen Koke of Lavon, Robyn (Robert) Haddock of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Christopher McNeill of Royse City, sister, Rebecca (Walt) Branscome of Abingdon, Virginia, grandchildren, Malorie (Philip) Corcoran of Frisco, Sterling McNeill of Richardson, McKenzie (Joseph) Tully of Rockwall, Chandler McNeill of Richardson, great-granddaughter, Adelyn Corcoran of Frisco, numerous nieces and nephews, and a sea of friends.
Parents, Virgil and Ruth Reel, and two brothers, Thomas and Jerry Reel, preceded Ginger in death.
Services to be held at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home of Lavon, Texas.
Visitation from 3:00-5:00PM on Sunday, August 8, 2021, followed by funeral services on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 2:00PM.
