Vickie Annette Bryant

July 16, 1952 — February 17, 2018

A life on Earth that was full of love and strength in being the best mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother came to rest peacefully on Saturday, February 16, 2018. Vickie Annette Bryant was born in Dallas on July 16, 1952 to parents Albert Leroy Lewis and Katie Nell Sturdivant, who precede her passing.

Vickie was always a caring and devoted mom to her daughter, Teresa Kay Ferguson, and son, Dennis Ray Willhite. God’s gifts continued and Vickie’s heart belonged to her grandchildren--Ashlee, Sophee, Noah, Addison and Kris--and great grandchildren--Grayson, Aubree, and Lilee. They lovingly called her Nanny.

Her confidence and flair combined with her entrepreneurial spirit resulted in over 15 successful years owning The Pitt Grill restaurant in Arlington, Texas. Her vivacious personality and love for her work lead to countless regulars including some from the Texas Rangers such as Pudge Rodriguez and Nolan Ryan.

For the last 18 years, Vickie lived in Arlington and Euless with her older sister, Sheila Lewis. They were the last remaining siblings to 3 brothers who preceded her in death: Freddie Wayne, Travis, and Richard Lewis.

She will be remembered forever for her kind loving spirit, a hearty laugh, and a “welcome to my life” personality. Along with a “vanity loving” sense of humor, she took great pride in her appearance and in particular, her long fingernails!

Vickie entered Heaven’s gate gracefully, making new friends along the way. Humbly proud of her accomplishments in our world and proudly watching over her loved ones.
