Vernon Walter Jenkins

Jenkins, Vernon Walter, 85, died on June 15, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Vernice, and his beloved son, John. Vernon is survived by his sister, Patricia and her husband Smitty, a sister-in-law, Bobbie, brother-in-law, Dane Harris, two daughters, Jeanie and Maria, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of very special friends. A visistation was held on Monday evening, June 18, at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in McKinney. A funeral service was held at the funeral home Tuesday, June 19, at 10:00 a.m. Burial took place at Pecan Grove Cemetery immediately following the service.
