Velma A. Goebel

Velma Aline Goebel, of Garland, Texas, went to be with her Lord on January 28, 2025.  Velma was born February 27, 1934 in Pecan Gap, Texas, where she spent her early years before moving to Fort Worth.  It was there that she met her beloved husband of 70 years, Elvis Muriel Goebel.  Together, they built a life filled with love and family.  Velma had a passion for gardening and cooking, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Muriel Goebel; her son, Paul Elvis Goebel; her brother C. M Humphries and wife Helen; and her parents, Clarence and Velma Humphries.

Velma is survived by her daughter Martha and husband Wayne; her son John; and her granddaughters Krystal and her children Madison, Abbey, and Max; Brandi and her children Lilly and Savannah; Summer and husband Josh and their children Tyler, Sadie, Dylan and Amelia; great great  granddaughter Ayana; and her "adopted daughter" Elizabeth Cedillo.

Velma's warmth and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
