Tobie was born in Dallas, TX to Laurel Tobie Tyrrell & Oleta Shortnacy and raised by his mother and step father Charles Weitzel. He peacefully ended his journey with Cancer at home on February 10, 2021.
Tobie joined the navy in 1963. Later he decided to get into the field of inspection. He mastered the skill of welding, had his SCWI, his Level III's in RT, MT and PT, and was a radiation safety officer.
Tobie met his wife Betty in 1964 and they were married a few years later. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Tobie, daughter, Lacy & husband Billy. His grandchildren; Brady, Mason, and Madison. His sister Rita & her husband; numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you dedicate a donation to the Cancer Research Institute.
