Tina Paulette Boyd, age 65, of Sachse, Texas, passed away at Methodist Hospital in Richardson on December 11, 2019 after a two year battle with liver disease.
Tina was born on April 13, 1954 in Farmersville, Texas to Julius Frankie "Sonny" and Odie Cleon Hall. Tina, "Little Sis," grew up burning the rubber of Highway 78 with older brother JF Hall and little brother, Norman Hall.
Tina married David BoBo at age 18, but unfortunately became a widow several short years later. She then married Joe William "Bill" Boyd in 1979 and with him raised daughter, Christina Summer and son, William Paul Boyd. Although Tina and Bill were not married at the time of her death, they remained close friends.
Tina was a dedicated mother, daughter, aunt, sister, friend, yet her greatest role came five years ago when her only grandchild, Bentley Boyd Nichols, was born to Christina and son-in-law, Adam Nichols. Tina, affectionately referred to as Gigem, devoted her life to taking care of Bentley while his parents worked. To say Tina and Bentley were best friends would be an understatement, as they were each other's world.
Tina was known for her kind heart, red lipstick, and signature eyelashes. Although she only had one son by birth, she was known as mom by many of Williams's friends. She had an open-door policy and, although the food was not fancy and the décor not designer, anyone was welcome. Her heart and love will be missed.
Tina is survived by mother Odie Hall-Swaim and step-father Earl Swaim, brother and sister-in-law Norman and Kathy Hall, and sister-in-law, Janet Hall. She also leaves behind children, Christina and son-in-law Adam Nichols and William Boyd. Tina is also survived by grandson Bentley Boyd Nichols. Many nieces and nephews and will also feel the loss including Amanda Campbell, Lane Utley, Joe Hall, Jonathan Hall, Jordan Hall and Natalie Hall. Tina is preceded in death by her father Sonny Hall and brother JF Hall. Tina also leaves behind many close cousins, family, and countless friends.
