Thomas Joseph Lambert of McKinney, Texas passed away October 19, 2015. He was born September 9, 1937 in Seattle, Washington and was adopted by Joseph A and Rose (Hughes) Lambert. He graduated from the University of Texas and had over a twenty year career in the United States Army working in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. After leaving active duty, he continued in the military intelligence reserves for many years while working in banking in the Dallas area. He married Delores Roby in 1967. He was an active member of the Prestonwood Baptist Church choir until transferring to First Baptist Church, McKinney in 1999.
Survived by wife, Delores of McKinney, Texas, daughter, Leslie Stroud and husband, David of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Grace and David; son, Thomas Lambert and wife Suzanne of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Evelyn, Thomas and Elizabeth; and daughter, Lori Mack and husband, Robert of San Antonio; grandchild, Robbie.
The family thanks the staff of The Medical Center of McKinney and The Heart to Heart Hospice for their incredible support during the last days of Thomas' life. The Friends Place, McKinney, Texas, and Director, Alex Nameth, are recognized for their enduring encouragement during the last eighteen months.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on October 23, 2015, at First Baptist Church, McKinney, TX. Interment will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Caregivers Ministry, First Baptist Church, McKinney, 1615 W. Louisiana, McKinney, TX 75069.
