Thomas Lee Evans

Thomas L. Evans (Tom) age 82 deceased 01-01-16. Born in Vida, MO on 01-29-1933. Preceded in death by parents, Chuck & Mary Peck Evans. Tom and wife, Nancy Carlile Evans, were married Aug. 25, 1956. He served in the U.S Marine Corps during the Korean War and was stationed on the USS Princeton Naval Air ship. He and Nancy graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, TX, and later, after serving his country, he went to and graduated from TCU. At first, he was considering entering into Veterinarian school, but after an unsuccessful event with a chicken, he decided that was not for him. So he changed his path and after graduation he had a long successful career as an Insurance Broker. He is survived by their children, Greg & wife Dianna, Lane & wife Mandy, Sheryl Koppa & husband, Steve & Scott and wife Serena. All of Tom and Nancy’s children & Steve attended Skyline High School in Dallas. Tom and Nancy have 9 grandchildren: Clint, Crissy, Kasi, Katy, Haley, Spencer, Jett, Tristan, & Sydney. And 6 Great-grandchildren: Blaise, Raiden, Rylee, McKenzie, Dakota & Madison.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Paralyzed Veterans, Wounded Warriors or any Veterans Organization. The Memorial Service will be held at Stonebridge United Methodist Church in McKinney on Jan. 8, 2016 at 11:00 am.
