Thomas E. Boesch passed away on March 7, 2021 in McKinney, Texas. He was 86 years old.
He was the son of the late Ernest and Gertrude Boesch of Prospectville, PA. He was born on October 16, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA, but spent most of his younger years in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
He graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School in 1952.
He married Phyllis M. Plank on January 29, 1955 at St. Joseph Church in Hallowell, PA
He is survived by 3 children, Deborah Ann and husband Martin Burke, Joel Edward Boesch and wife Terry and Nancy M. Wirs, all in the Dallas, Texas area.
Tom is also survived by 8 granddaughters, 7 great-grandsons, and 2 great-granddaughters.
He is also survived by 1 brother and 1 sister.
Tom was a Production Machinist by trade for 32 years. In connection with his occupation, he attended Bucks County Community College and Delaware Valley College.
Tom and Phyllis were active members for 18 years with the Hartsville Volunteer Fire Company in Hartsville, PA.
They then moved to Bellefonte, PA.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing in Pennsylvania.
Tom always wanted to fly airplanes. He and a close friend had a Piper Tri-Pacer together. He obtained his Commercial License and his CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) rating. He taught flying at Doylestown and Bellefonte Airports. He was also a Tour Bus Driver based in Bellefonte. Tom and his wife, Phyllis learned to Square Dance. They could be found dancing at the various clubs in and around Pennsylvania and at the State and National Square Dance Conventions. They danced in Germany on one of their trips.
Tom and Phyllis enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Alaska, Great Britain, Switzerland and Germany. They also had a travel trailer that they used for 10 years to go through the United States and Canada.
