Theresa Lynn Whittle

Theresa Whittle, 51, joined her heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. She was born on June 27, 1965 in Tucson, Arizona. Theresa grew up in New Castle, IN until the age of 14, when she and her family moved to Texas and spent the majority of her life living in Chandlers Landing in Rockwall, TX. Theresa was born with Down Syndrome and remained living in the loving care of her mother until God chose to reclaim his angel. Theresa had a very full and carefree life among family and friends, including a very special friendship with Julie Robinson from Las Vegas. Theresa loved family gatherings, Las Vegas, Elvis Presley, coloring books, TV Land programs, and marking special events on her calendar, such as everyone’s birthdays, Christmas and Easter. She was a joy and a blessing to everyone who knew her. Being the truest expression of unconditional love, Theresa was a rare BLUE ROSE among the many red roses.

Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Avery Ello Whittle; younger sister, Rebecca Jo Whittle; nephew, Matthew Mark Whittle; and niece, Rebecca Ann Whittle.

Theresa will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Charlotte Ann (Mulvey) Whittle; 3 brothers and 3 sisters, Rob Whittle, Debra Ray, Jeff Whittle, Mike Whittle, Cindy Matheny and Louretta Moukhtar; 4 in-laws, Buck Ray, Donna Whittle, Debi Whittle, and Mohamed Moukhtar; 25 nieces and nephews; 25 great nieces and nephews; 1 great-great niece, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse, TX on Friday, December 2, 2016. Arrival time is 1:00 p.m. Service begins at 2:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Lake View cemetery in Lavon, TX.
