Theodore (Ted) Scrimger

May 19, 1935 — June 12, 2020

THEODORE (TED) ROBERT SCRIMGER
Born May 19, 1935 in Detroit, MI – Passed June 12, 2020 in Wylie, TX

On June 12, 2020 our beloved Husband, Dad, and Grandpa went home to the Lord following an extended battle with cancer. He passed at home surrounded by his loving and heartbroken family.

Ted was a big man with a big personality. He rarely missed an activity that his children or grandchildren were involved in. Like his father, he loved golf, a passion he passed down to his sons. He enjoyed watching University of Michigan football and his beloved Dallas Cowboys! Ted served with various hospitals in overseeing medical supply management. He served his churches and communities with zeal and purpose through various service organizations, youth football leagues, sports and band boosters, and a term as a School Board member. We will miss him tremendously but take great comfort from the surety that he is with the Lord, with a sound mind and a new body.

He leaves a legacy of love including his wife of 65 years; Shirley (Phillips) Scrimger, and his children: Robert (Desiree) Scrimger, of Lee Massachusetts; Bruce (Beth)Scrimger of Brownfield Maine; Andrea (David) Manning of Talkeetna, Alaska; and Kristyn (Brett Hogue) Hofstetter of Wylie, Texas. He was incredibly proud of his nine grandchildren, Phillip Manning; Danny Hofstetter; Kevin Manning; Ian Scrimger; Erik Hofstetter; Kellyn Scrimger; Jessica Scrimger; Hannah Hofstetter; Devlin Scrimger, and a precious great granddaughter, Penny Hofstetter.
