Terry Harbison

January 9, 1964 — July 23, 2020

Terry Reed Harbison, beloved son, cherished husband, dedicated father, grandfather, brother and uncle, returned to his Heavenly home on July 23, 2020.

Terry was born in Phoenix, Arizona, January 9, 1964. He was raised by loving parents Barbara Louise and John Reed Harbison. Terry was the oldest of five children, all who looked up to him as a second father figure. Terry enjoyed playing softball, football, camping, and was happiest singing in the choir at school. Terry was an Eagle scout and honored his priesthood throughout his life.

Terry and Kathi became sweethearts in their teen years. At age 19, Terry served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Barcelona, Spain. Six weeks after his return home, Kathi and Terry were married for time and eternity in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on August 31, 1984.

Living in Tucson, Arizona, Terry worked in the day and went to college at night, earning his bachelor's degree in business. During this time, Terry and Kathi were blessed with four wonderful boys: Eric, Timothy, Kenneth, and Christopher Harbison. Shortly thereafter, their family moved to Sachse, Texas.

In Texas, Terry worked in the telecom business and later as an economics teacher at Wylie High School, his favorite job by far. Terry was thrilled to work at Wylie and especially enjoyed mentoring and teaching his sweet students. Go AHMO!
Terry also served faithfully in a various of church callings including youth leader, teacher, bishopric counselor, and seminary teacher.

Diagnosed with early on-set dementia at age 51, Terry retired from teaching. Terry passed away 5 years later after contracting Covid-19. Terry will be missed by many family and friends who knew and loved him.

There will be a PRIVATE graveside service on a date and time determined by the family.
