Terry Paul Busker, 54, of Lavon, Texas, passed away on December 20, 2020 in Rockwall, Texas.
Terry was born on March 13, 1966, in Freeport, Illinois, to Paul and Judy (Pontnack) Busker.
On July 5, 1997, Terry married the love of his life, Traci Jones.
He attended Glasgow High School, in Glasgow, Missouri. He joined the Marine Corp in 1984 and was honorably discharged in 1988. After leaving the military, he graduated from World Wide College of Auctioneering School in Mason City, IA., and continued his education at North Central Missouri College, in Trenton, Missouri, graduating in 1990. On July 5, 1997, Terry married the love of his life, Traci Jones. He worked in various capacities leading up to Area Manager at Premium Standard Farms until 2012. Terry and his family moved to Allen, Texas in 2012 where he then attended Dallas Theological Seminary and graduated with a Masters in Theology in 2016.
Terry began serving as interim pastor of Cottonwood Creek Nevada Baptist Church from August of 2016 to April of 2017. He then served as pastor of Faith Family Church from April of 2017 to December of 2020. Terry was a servant leader, known for his compassion for others, and support of this community.
Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, coaching baseball, watching community sporting events, singing karaoke, and playing wiffle ball in the backyard. Family was extremely important to him and he had a unique relationship with every person he met.
Terry is preceded in death by his father Paul Busker, and nephew Joel Martin. He is survived by his wife, Traci of Lavon, Texas, son, Lathan Busker and his wife Krissia, of Richardson, Texas, Kyle Busker of Lavon, Texas, his mother, Judy Busker of Fayette, Missouri, brother Kelly Busker and his wife Shannon of Unionville, Missouri, sister, Penny Biesemeyer, and husband, Kelvin of Marquand, Missouri, brother, Joey Busker and wife Amy of Fayette, Missouri, along with 18 nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church, 1015 Sam Rayburn Tollway, Allen, Texas. Graveside services will follow at Nevada Cemetery, 301 FM 6, Nevada, Texas.
