Teri Alene Sexton

SEXTON, Teri Alene (Heyneman), passed away on July 2, 2013 surrounded by her family. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Teri was born in Flint, Michigan on December 13, 1948 to Gus Heyneman and Rona Challinor-Heyneman.
Teri leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 27 years, Gary; her son Robert Martell and his wife, Michelle of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, daughter, Denise Steffel and her husband Eric of Garland, Texas, daughter, Lisa Williams and her husband Chris of Denton, Texas, and daughter, Carin Thomas of Joplin, Missouri; 2 sisters, Helen Church and her husband David of Flushing, Michigan and Gayle Baker and her husband Ron of Houston, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Kristen, Alyssa, Zachary, Preston, Hannah, Jakob, Kevin and Joel; 2 nephews, David Church of Fenton, Michigan and Nicholas Larkin of Houston, Texas; 3 great nephews and one great niece; and her mother of her heart for the last 59 years, Lillian Heyneman of Clio, Michigan.
Teri retired in June of 2012 after 25 years in the home building industry. Teri loved making jewelry, and spending time with her family.
Teri was preceded in death by her father, Gus Heyneman, her mother Rona Challinor-Heyneman and her brother, Paul Heyneman.
A celebration of Teri's life is planned for Saturday, July 6th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Homes in McKinney, Texas. You can make contributions to the American Cancer society or the Arbor day foundation, or plant a tree in her memory.
