Tennie Fay Quattlebaum

Tennie Quattlebaum, 89, of Garland, TX. passed away November 30, 2016 in Garland, TX. Tennie was born on November 5, 1927 in Lone Oak, TX to Ewell Melton and Lillie Myrtle (Moore) McLeroy. She married Joseph Earnest Quattlebaum on February 1, 1947 in Greenville, TX.

Tennie was a founding member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and is currently a member of 1st Presbyterian Church of Garland. She was also a founding board member of Watson PTA, Lifetime member of Texas State PTA, worked in the school cafeteria at Memorial Middle School, and Austin Academy. Prior to working in GISD, she was a homemaker, wonderful mother, loving grandmother, & superior great- grandmother.

She is survived by; a daughter Patricia Wetzel and husband Joe, Grandchildren; Jennifer Parrish and husband Michael, Joseph Wetzel and wife Diana, Great-Grandchildren; Hannah and Benjamin Wetzel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Marie Jetton, brothers; Lavon McLeroy and James McLeroy.

Visitation will be Thursday December 1, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Sachse, TX.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 2, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Charles W. Smith & Sons in Sachse and interment will follow at Memoryland Cemetery in Greenville, TX.
