Teddy Lowell Baley was born on May 10,1941 in Union Valley, Texas to Andrew and Louise Hamilton
Baley. He passed away at his home in Nevada, Texas on August 28, 2020 at the age of 79.
Teddy grew up in Royse City, Texas with his three brothers and sister. It was not uncommon for him to
skip school on Canton weekend to trade guns or pocket knives. He graduated from Royse City High
School and spent his life working in the aluminum extrusion industry.
Teddy met Mubby Page on the sidewalk in Royse City and that very day Mubby declared, "I am going to
marry him". They were married on February 9, 1962 in Nevada, Texas. They shared everything life had to
offer for 58 years and were a great team supporting each other in every way. They were blessed with
two daughters, Robin and Renee'. Teddy taught his two girls how to fish, select a quality hammer,
change a tire, shoot a crow or fix a broken appliance.
Teddy enjoyed going to church, reading Louis L'Amour books, traveling, garage sales and spending time
with his family and friends. He enjoyed working in his garden and sharing his produce with friends-
beautiful homegrown tomatoes were his specialty. He also grafted a tree with different fruit tree
branches and it was known as his fruit cocktail tree.
Nobody can be perfect but Teddy was as close to the perfect granddaddy as anyone could be. When
Samuel was born, Teddy's life changed. He was so proud to be a granddaddy. He was in attendance at
everything Samuel was involved in from swimming lessons to baseball games. He never missed an
event.
Teddy is survived by his wife, Mubby Baley of Nevada, Texas and his two daughters, Robin Baley of
Rockwall, Texas and Renee' Robertson and husband Rex of Nevada, Texas and one grandson, Samuel
Robertson. Teddy is also survived by his sister Helen Carr of Cedar Hill, Texas, and brothers Dan Baley of
Magnolia, Texas, Ernest Baley of Cedar Hill, Texas and Jerrell Baley of Rowlett, Texas.
A visitation will be held at Faith Family Church on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 2:00pm. The service will be
held at 3:30pm at Faith Family Church followed by graveside at Nevada Cemetery.
We hate that he is gone, but we are so lucky he was here and even luckier he was ours.
