Tamara Carolyn Lord of Lavon, Texas was born on October 31, 1960, in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. She passed away early Monday morning on February 21, 2022.
Tamara was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Carolyn Bratcher.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Tom Lord, Jr. of Lavon, Texas; sister, Patricia Tsybulnik; and brother, Darroll Bratcher (Staci).
Tamara did not have children but loved her four cat fur babies Booger, Munchkin, Miss Priss, and Tigger.
She was an active member of Lavon Drive Baptist Church for fifteen years and had served as a Bible teacher, sang in the choir, served with the bus ministry and ladies Bible study, and many other ministries of the church.
Tamara was a homemaker and had previously worked and competed in cake decorating as well as teaching those classes, worked in sales for wire and cable, owned her own business Heavenly Weddings by Lord, and was currently taking courses to become a Biblical counselor.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling to beaches from Jamaica to Hawaii, eating Mexican food, and shopping for craft supplies. Tamara excelled at paper crafts and making cards to send to people. She was an avid member of the Friends of Anna Griffin community and attended conferences each year. Tamara was generous with her time and talents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 27th at 2 p.m. followed by services at 3 p.m. at Lavon Drive Baptist Church, 1520 Lavon Drive, Garland, Texas 75040.
