Susan Alicia McGilvray

Susan Alicia McGilvray, a resident of Garland, TX for 34 years, passed away on October 30, 2016 at the age of 55. She was born on October 22, 1961 in Liberty, TX to Troy Ellis and Juanita (Johnson) McGilvray. Susan was a graduate of Berkner High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Woman’s University. She retired after 20 years of working as a registered nurse in Texas, as well as overseas. Susan was a member of the Baptist faith.

Susan is survived by her parents, Troy and Juanita McGilvray; sister, Leslie Anne Bales and husband, Eddy; brother, Stuart McGilvray and wife, Tammie; niece, Kelsey Kreatschman; nephew, Nathan Kreatschman; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edgar and Monie McGilvray and Alvin and Mazie (Jackie) Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Garland (Cockrell Chapel), 801 W. Ave D, Garland, TX 75040 with Rev. Mark Hill officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service, at the Cockrell Chapel. Inurnment will be at Arnold Cemetery in Alto, TX.
