Stanley Daniel Arnold 76, passed away in McKinney, Texas on September 9, 2014. Mr. Arnold was born in Thompson, Michigan on April 12, 1938 to parents William and Erma Arnold. Stan was both a High school teacher and a state park ranger in Manistique, Michigan for almost 30 years and moved to the Menominee area in 1994 to be closer to his son's family. He married Violet Nelson in January of 1963. In early 2014 he moved down to McKinney, Texas to be closer to his son and grandkids.
Stan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time in the wilderness and at deer camps. He was a lifelong Elks Club member and also served as the secretary of the Menominee River U.P. Whitetails Organization for the last several years.
He helped pass along a passion for both golfing and hunting to his son who is now sharing those pastimes with his children. In the later stages of his life, some of his greatest enjoyments were spending time at the cabin and spending time with his grandsons.
He is preceded in death by his wife Violet Arnold, his brother; Thomas Arnold (Peggi Arnold) , sister; Joyce Price (Douglas Price). He is survived by his son; Guy Arnold (Carol Arnold) and grandsons; Aaron and Ryan Arnold.
