Sherry Beth Myers

Sherry Beth Myers passed from her earthly life to rest peacefully with Jesus, on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at her home in Allen, Texas, surrounded by her family. She was 78 years old.

Sherry was born February 22, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, to John Paul and Alberta King Shero. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Shero and Jim Shero, and a beloved sister-in-law, Jean Shero.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 59 years, John Myers; her daughters, Susan Myers, of the home, Sharon (Michael) Cox of McKinney, Texas; son, Allan (Sharon) Myers of Vilonia, Arkansas; four granddaughters – Stephanie (Kyle) Turner, Katherine (Corey) Hogan, Jacqueline Cox and Courtney Cox; two grandsons – Noah Myers and Jedidiah Myers; one brother, Joe (Deanna) Shero of Mesquite, Texas; sisters-in-law, Carmen Shero of Houston, Texas, and Elsie Shero of San Saba, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Sherry loved her LORD and her family fiercely. Her grandchildren affectionately knew her as Nan, and regardless if you were family or friend, she would greet you with a soft hug and a warm smile. She shared her love for others by cooking – you would never leave her house hungry. As a member of High Pointe Church of Christ, she was a constant prayer warrior, often reminding her family where to turn for strength. She was the perfect wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and will be missed by all.
