Sherry Louise Moyer

Sherry Louise Moyer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated Registered Nurse, passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 76. She was born on March 6, 1948.

Sherry graduated from Greenville High School in 1966 and went on to pursue her passion for nursing at Youngstown Nursing School, where she graduated in 1968. She dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a Registered Nurse for 48 years in hospitals and as a case manager.

Sherry married her soulmate, William Moyer, on September 21, 1968. Together, they enjoyed attending street rod events and tours, cherishing every moment spent in each other's company. Sherry's main hobby was making blankets for Project Linus, bringing comfort to sick children through her generous spirit and skilled hands.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Ferguson of Greenville, Pennsylvania, and her brother, John Ferguson. Sherry is survived by her devoted husband, William Moyer, and their children: Kimberly Esparza, Kelly Moyer, and Keri Gonzales. Her legacy of love and kindness lives on through her grandchildren: Kristopher Moyer, Kaitlyn Romero, William Gullett, Hayden Gullett, and Peyton Gonzales. Sherry is also survived by her brother, Edward Ferguson.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Sherry’s life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The service will take place at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, located at 2925 Fifth St., Sachse, TX 75048. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Project Linus, www.projectlinus.org, to continue Sherry's mission of providing warmth and comfort to children in need.

Sherry's unwavering dedication to her family, her profession, and her community will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
