Shawna Renee Polhamus

Shawna Renee Polhamus of Lavon, Tx passed away on April 4, 2024, to be with her mother, brothers and other loving family members.

“Renee” was born May 21, 1963, in Dallas Texas and stayed a true Texan all of her life.

Renee is survived by her husband of 40 years Gary Polhamus, her 4 sons, Christopher Clevenger, Richard Polhamus and wife Stacy, Gregory Polhamus and wife Mariah, and Sean Polhamus and wife Ashlee. She was an amazing Nana to her 5 grand loves, Cecilia, Wyatt (Wy-Wy), Theodore, Amelia (Millie) and recently born, Lucas. Also, by her sister Vickie Clevenger.

Renee was preceded in death by her mother Jeanette Forbes Francke, and her brothers David and Anthony (Tony) Nailling.

She was an avid reader with many talents and a knack for learning any new crafts she came across. She was one of the most open hearted and outgoing women who accepted anyone she met with love and understanding. She always had room for forgiveness and saw the good in everyone. One of her greatest strengths was her love, especially how much she loved her husband, children and grand loves. Her boys meant the world to her and she lives on in their hearts as well as anyone who was lucky enough to have known her. She always appreciated all of the thoughts and prayers that was sent her way throughout her battle with cancer.

A memorial service will take place at her residence in the near future.
