Sharron Bell Rogers

May 6, 1945 — April 21, 2012

Much loved and admired, Sharron Bell-Rogers left this world Saturday, April 21, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born May 6, 1945 in Borger, TX and was a graduate of Borger High School. Sharron was preceded in death by her grandparents as well as her parents: Sam Bell, Bess Eldredge, and M.T. Eldredge.
Sharron was an avid sports fan and she spent much time on the softball fields and volleyball courts in her youth. She loved the Rangers and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan; she could always be found in front of the television on game day.
As her health declined, a favorite place of Sharron’s was the bench under the tree in her front yard. She would sit and watch her great-great niece and nephew play in the yard while she worked her puzzle books.
Sharron had such a sweet spirit about her that she touched lives wherever she went. During one hospital stay she received flowers from someone the family didn’t recognize; it turned out to be some friends she had made while out running her errands. It would be difficult to find someone more kind, generous or loving than she, and that love was reciprocated by her family who loved her fiercely.
Sharron leaves behind her daughter, Sherri Fitzgerald, son-in-law Steve Fitzgerald and grandchildren Michael, Sarah, and Andrew of Lubbock, TX.
Sharron lived thirty years with her sister LaJuana Bell-White and was loved like a mother by LaJuana’s children, Roddy Escoe of Garland, TX and LaDawn and Steve Moore of Borger. Sharron will also be deeply missed by her great nieces and nephews: Angela and Taylor Henson of Rockwall, TX, Heather and Wheeler Hammit of Spearman, TX, Krystal and Phillip Smith of Dallas, TX, Dylan and Heather Moore of Richardson ,TX, Andrew Escoe of Garland, TX and Ashley and Seth Shields of Borger. Sharron is also survived by five great-great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and a host of people who were just glad to know her.
Services will be held Saturday, April 28 at 2:00 PM in the Minton’s Chapel.
