Sharon Kaye Victor

March 25, 1944 — December 19, 2023

Richardson

Sharon Kaye Victor was called back to our Father December 19th, unexpectedly and without warning after suffering a stroke. She was blessed to have first responders, nurses, and doctors care for her immediately in her time of need. In true Nana fashion, she commanded a spirit of love and fellowship as those that loved her most were by her side in those final hours. We laughed remembering and telling Nana’s stories and cried at the thought of what lay ahead in her absence.

Sharon was always a force to be reckoned with. She was a force of love, joy, patience, and kindness – unconditional and ever flowing. A force of spirituality that could keep you grounded in those things that mattered most in life and a force of prayer that would advocate on your behalf directly with the Almighty. A force that would encourage a balance of humility and confidence so you could move boldly forward with respect for the place from which you came.

Later in life, Sharon’s metamorphosis into Nana became a more beautiful, powerful version of herself with renewed unconditional love and patience. A new force had been unleashed on the next generation that served the previous so well.

Nana was survived by her children Cynthia Milligan, Sandra Sawyer, and Michael & Leslie Victor; grandchildren Amber Milligan, Erika Milligan, Haley Sawyer, Tyler & Stephanie Sawyer, Cassidy Victor, and Ryan Victor; great granddaughter Sophia Sawyer; siblings Kenneth & Carolyn Carter, Susan & Rutledge Haggard; niece Laura & Wade Clarabut and family; and nephew Stephen & Tiffany Meier and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents B.E. & Ruby Nell Carter (Mimi & Grandad) and twin siblings Larry & Gary Carter.

Please join the family for a memorial service at South Garland Baptist Church on Friday, December 29th at 2:00 PM (1330 E. Centerville Rd, Garland, TX 75041). In the spirit in which Nana would love to be honored, we’d love for you to write and share any favorite stories you have – a place will be provided at the service to share hand-written notes.

After the service, please join family and friends at the home of Sandy Sawyer (3410 Ashwood Circle, Sachse, TX) where we will celebrate Nana further.
