Sharon Anne Lane was born January 19, 1946 in Chicago, IL and passed on August 22, 2018 in Richardson, TX at the age of 72. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She worked hard throughout her life, in many different fields, including putting herself through technical school earning a certificate in Office Administration. Her favorite things to do were spending time with her husband, visiting with friends and family, sewing and watching the Hallmark Channel. By far, her greatest talents were baking "Grandma's cookies," creating amazing stuffed animals, quilts, clothes and costumes…and talking. She was proceeded in death by her parents Theresa and Robert White, as well as her beloved husband, Robert Owen Lane. She is survived by her three siblings, brother Robert White; brother Vern White and his wife, Kay; sister Sis Schultz and her husband, Don; her three children and two step-children, son Jason Straub and his wife, Holly; son Keith Straub and his wife, Marla; daughter Michelle Fluke and her husband Matthew; step-daughter Terry Lane; and step-son Larry Lane and his wife, Rhonda; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved animals: dogs, Rex and Abby; cats, Whiskers and Chloe. A memorial service, led by family friend Max Droz, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th St, Sachse, TX 75048.
