November 22, 1935 — December 5, 2014

Sharlene Marilee Corder Malinasky
Born Nov. 22, 1935 in Dallas to Walter and Annaliese Corder, passed away on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014. Sharlene was the
eldest Child of six, with one sister, Sharon, and four brothers, John M. Corder, Walter, S. Corder, Marshall W. Corder
and Felton P. Leake. Sharlene grew up fast when her parents deivorced in 1947 and she became caregiver for her siblings.
Married in 1953 to an airman, Michael J. Malinasky, from Pennsylvania, they moved from air base to air base. She presented him
with five children, first a daughter, Catherine, then four sons, Michael, Stephen, Walter and John. They bought a home and
raised their children in Dover, Delaware. Michael traveled the world in his career with the Air Force, while she covered the
home front. They split briefly then reconciled, but finally called it quits and Sharlene came home. She has lived in the Dallas
area since then. Sharlene had 3 grandchildren, Tammy, Lisa and Jonathan, and 3 great grandchildren,
Tayler, Stephen and Hannah. Sharlene was active in the Bethel Lutheran church and worked in the preschool there. All
of those children meant a great deal to her also. She gave generously of her time and used one of her skills
making blankets for all "her kids". Since her children were scattered Sharlene felt that all of the kids she cared for
were hers and she loved them all. Since retiring, Sharlene has spent her time sewing, traveling with
her sister and brothers, playing her electronic games and helping her family.
She will be greatly missed by all of us who love her.
