Scott Iddings Butler, 53, passed away on September 19, 2013 at Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett, Texas. He was born September 8, 1960 in Corning, New York to Frederick and Sharon Butler.
Scott grew up in Buffalo, New York. He served three years in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He also served two years in the Army Reserves at the Naval Air Station in Grand Prairie, Texas in the Pathfinder Division. Scott then worked for Masos Texaco as an auto technician for twenty-one years.
Scott married Karen in 1979 in Buffalo, New York. They were happily married for thirty-four years. He enjoyed working on cars, being with his family, and fulfilling his role as "Gramps".
Scott is survived by his wife, Karen Butler; two daughters, Melissa Heilman and Shelby Butler; grandson, Dawson Heilman; parents, Frederick Butler and Sharon Jones; and three sisters, Polly Pichura, Donna Butler, and Sandi Shackleford.
