Sandra Sachse Young

Sandra Sachse Young passed away November 30th, 2021, at Presbyterian Seasons Hospice, in Dallas, Tx.
She was born on June 21st, 1940, in Dallas, Tx to Frank and Helen Sachse.
Sandra graduated from Sunset High School, Dallas, Tx., in 1958, and the following fall met her husband Roy Young, at the University of Texas at Austin. They married that New Year's Eve.
They moved to Dallas in 1959, where Roy started his career as an Insurance Agent for Washington National Ins. Co. and Sandra was a devoted wife and loving mother. She loved being the President of the PTA of Mark Twain Elementary School in Dallas, Tx.
She was the eldest of four sisters. When she was young, the family would go to Chickasha, OK, in the summers to their ranch and they would ride horses and swim. She was a great diver from the highest platform and had great form.
Sandra loved spending time with her family and loved, loved her grandson, Justin. She also loved taking long walks around the neighborhood, planting flowers and also cooking. Even when she could no longer walk, she was happiest with her flowers, inside and outside, and watching the birds on her patio. She cooked wonderful Thanksgiving Dinners.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Roy Young, her daughter Mitzi Young, son Alan Young, and sister, Susie Smith.
Sandra is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Larry Vulgamore, daughter Patti Donohue, grandson Justin Young, sister, Linda Sachse, sister, Barbara Sachse, and brother-in-law, Don Smith and numerous other family members.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Chapel 2925 5th St., Sachse, TX 75048
