Samuel Monroe Sandlin, 66, of Princeton, Texas died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from complications with pneumonia. He was surrounded by his family. Sam was born to his parents, Ned and Clara Sandlin on September 9, 1947. He was raised in McKinney, Texas. Sam worked in the pool industry for 30 years and was the best in Collin County. He was greatly loved and will be terribly missed. Sam is survived by his wife, Nona; three children from a previous marriage, Billy Sandlin, Broady Sandlin and Mindi Box; three grandsons B.J. Sandlin, Jacob Box, Jared Box and one sister, Pat Stephens. The family will receive friends at a visitation to take place Saturday, January 11, 2014 , 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee St McKinney, Texas 75069.
