Ruthie Tobias

Ruth (Ruthie) Nell Tobias, age 79, passed away March 3rd, 2022. She was born June 11, 1942 in Independence, Louisiana to Vida and Samuel Morgan. She married Charles Barron, in 1959 and had 8 children-Charles Franklin Jr. (Vicki), David Wilson, Samuel William (preceded in death in 2018) Julie Kay (Brian), Kenneth Wayne, Timothy Richard (preceded in death in 1970), Wendy Kay, and Cynthia Kay (Chad). In 1984 she married William Tobias Jr. and was blessed with 2 more children-Tina Marie, and William Emery III. Those that called her Nana, were her grandchildren C.J., Ryan, Brittany, Taylor, Lauren, Bridget, Lindsey, Brandon, Kristin, Austin, Woody, Morgan, Tyler, Kaylee, Celinda, Tabitha, D.J. Eric and Tiffany. Great Grandchildren, Jaycee, Jaxson, Carter, Scarlett, Ella, Bryce, Cade, Adam, Wade, Cody, Ethan, Ayden, Tyler, and two more blessings on their way.

Ruthie is survived by her sister Judy Amerson and countless nieces and nephews.
Ruthie's love of cooking led her to open Toby's Catfish in Anna, Texas and later Ruthie's Catfish in Branch, Texas. Ruthie loved life to the fullest, red lipstick, high heels, and all! She died ready to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
