Ruth Elaine Klingenberg

Ruth Elaine Klingenberg, born 10/27/1940, precious wife of Robert William Klingenberg, went to be with her Lord on 5/23/2022 after a long battle with Parkinson's. She was 81 years old. Bob and his beloved Ruthie were married 61 years. She was the love of his life and he the love of her life.

Bob and Ruth were preceded to Heaven by their beloved daughters Mary Jane Nourse and Jacqueline Dawn Flickinger, their beloved son-in-law Craig Flickinger, and their precious granddaughter Shannon Flickenger.

Ruth came from the family of Harry and Jenny Petroelje of Borculo MI, a wonderful Godly family of 13 children. Ruth was child number 11. Preceding Ruth to Heaven were her parents Harry and Jenny, her brothers and sisters Peter Petroelje, Gordon Petroelje, Elmer Petroelje, Wilma Steenwyk, Ann Steenwyk, Joan Steenwyk, and Vivian Vander Kooi. Surviving her are her brothers Art Petroelje, John Petroelje, Allen Petroelje, and her sisters Doris Bos, Jan Vander Kooi.

Surviving Ruth are her beloved husband Robert Klingenberg, their dear sons Mark Robert Klingenberg & wife Erika Klingenberg, Bradford William Klingenberg & wife Cynthia Klingenberg; their precious grandchildren Denise Najera & husband Raul Najera, Dayna Klingenberg, Jordan Gray, Sam Flickinger & wife Alexis Flickinger, Megan Hernandez & husband Larry Hernandez, Elise Flickinger, Tyler Flickinger, Aaron Klingenberg, Adelle Klingenberg, and Ethan Klingenberg, and their adorable great grandchildren Bryce Hernandez and Grayson Najera.

Ruth's Divine call in life was to be a missionary. It was her heartbeat! She with her husband Bob preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ in England, Germany, Slovenia, Belgium, Netherlands, Jamaica, Aruba, and Curacao, as well as throughout America.

They pastored Lamont Christian Reformed Church in Lamont, MI., Faith Christian Reformed Church in Kalamazoo, MI., Ann Arbor Christian Reformed Church in Ann Arbor MI., Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff, NJ., First Assembly of God in Grand Rapids, MI., Rochester Assembly of God in Rochester MI., and East Lansing Assembly of God in East Lansing, MI.

Bob and Ruth were a Gospel ministry team for over 50 years together, and rejoiced to see countless people come to Christ as their Lord and Savior. This was the supreme joy of her life!
