Ruby Ethel Mounger

Ruby Mounger, 99, of McKinney, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Allen, Texas. She was born on November 8, 1915 in Culleoka, Texas, the daughter of Pete B. Mounger and Sallie Sommers Mounger. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Christian Church in McKinney, with Rev. David Smith, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Fitzhugh Cemetery in the Forrest Grove Community. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Charles W. Smith and Son's Funeral Home in McKinney.
Never was there a more lover of life than Ruby. Always ready to go and do, have a good time, or laugh at a joke. Ruby and her husband Ed were both the same, loved to travel when they could, spend time with family and just have as much fun as they could. Ruby did not have any children of her own, but all her nieces and nephews and their kids too, were hers. At Ruby's house you could eat all you wanted and play with whatever you wanted to play with. She wanted, and wanted you, to have a good time.
Ruby is survived by: her brother: Harlan Mounger and his wife Ann, of Culleoka, Texas: sisters: Zola Eastup of Greenville, Texas, and Delphene Van Dyke of Temple, Texas. Being one of 14 children, she is also survived by a host of other, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pete and Sallie Mounger; by her husband Ed Mounger; and by siblings: Lula Mae Collier, Janie Morrison, Earl T. Mounger, Jewel Judd, Grace McGregor, Delia Stephens, Stella White, Floyd Mounger, Albert Mounger, and Fannie Mounger.
