Ruby Joyce Bell

Joyce Bell, 86, peacefully slipped away surrounded by loving family March 5, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Joan Spalding.
Joyce was born on November 30, 1929 to Hazel and Naoma Sanders in Brownington, Missouri. She was a homemaker for several years, then re-entered the medical field as an inhalation therapist. On June 19, 1971 she married Garrett Bell. After retirement the joy of being a grandparent filled her days. Her wit and humor was infectious and could invoke laughter in any circumstance. She will be missed by all those fortunate to travel across her path.
Mrs. Bell is survived by her son Chuck Netherlain, daughter Kaye Luttrell and husband Roy; daughter Janet Gilcrease and husband Bob; sister Loraine Gibson and husband Arthur; brother Jim Sanders and wife Judy; sister Carol Briggs and husband Jim; brother-in-law Jim Spalding; eight Grandchildren, sixteen Great Grandchildren, one Great-great Grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in McKinney, Texas. Private family visitation from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. Public visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Van Alstyne cemetery.
