Ronny Ray Castleton

February 14, 1943 — October 3, 2011

Ronny R. Castleton, long time employee of Raytheon in Dallas, Texas passed away at his home in Richardson, Texas on October 3, 2011. He had been a resident of Richardson for forty years. Ronny was born February 14, 1943 in Monroe, Louisiana. He was the son of the late Jack D. Castleton and Mary Castleton Parker.
He is survived by his brother Danny Castleton and wife Sharon, his sisters Judith Sihweil and husband Azmi, Lisa Waldrop and husband Greg, his two nieces Dana Alanis and Hannah Waldrop, and his nephew Aziz Sihweil.
Ronny graduated from St. Matthews High School and Northeast Louisiana University in Physics. He was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served from 1961-1965. His first assignment was Samsun Air Force Base in Turkey, where he worked in the intelligence unit. His second assignment was at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Ron was an avid writer and collector. He will be interred next to his father at Hasley Catholic Cemetery in West Monroe, La.
