Ronnie Dwaine Wilson

December 20, 1942 — February 2, 2013

Ronnie Dwaine Wilson was born December 20, 1942 in Waco, Texas to Ina Mae & Lawrence Wilson and departed February 2, 2013 in Dallas, Texas.
He attended Waco High School where he triple-lettered in baseball, basketball and football. The Waco News named him "Radar Ronnie" for his keen quarterback passing talents. He earned a Bachelors of Chemistry and played football at Baylor University, and he graduated from University of Texas at Austin Law School. He ultimately opened his own law practice where he deeply cared about his clients and operated with unblemished ethical standards.
Ron was the most amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He truly connected with people, was always sincere, easily moved by the beauty of life, and generous, especially in small acts with large impacts. Known as "Papa Bear", he has six grandchildren Stetson, Cassidy, Kiersten, Marissa, Jacob and Allyson, all of whom he adored beyond reason and threatened to spoil beyond repair. He had a level head, a smart mind, the heart of a hero, and he treasured each and every relationship.
Ronnie appreciated funny jokes, the catchy hook of Country & Western songs, and he was never without a coin of every denomination. He relished being one of a kind, and while his cowboy hat may have been black, he was without question one of the good guys.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Judy K. Wilson, brother Roger Wilson & wife Lorna, sister Sue McGown & husband Jerry, son Michael Wilson & wife Kathleen, son J Sarratt & wife Jamie, daughter Lesli Cashin & husband Bill, and daughter Monica Sarratt, as well his grandchildren, and many friends and family. While he left much too soon, he lived a full and meaningful life, will be greatly missed but forever loved.
In lieu of services, a Celebration of Life will be held February 6, 2013 at Fairview Farms Corral Barn in Plano, Texas from 2-5pm.
