Ronnie was born on August 29, 1944 in McKinney, Texas. He passed away on April 29, 2019 in McKinney at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 47 years, Patricia and a son Ronald Hay Jr. Ronnie is survived by two sons. Rodney Hay and wife Jennifer of Anna, Texas and Ray Hay and wife Kim of Amarillo, Texas. He had four grandchildren; Lexy Mata and her husband Jayden, Erin Bigelow and her husband Matt, Katelyn Hay and Jackson Hay. He also had one great grandson Roczen Zane Mata; a sister Vinna Hackler and her husband Jesse, a nephew Jesse Lee Hackler and his brothers Michael Hay and Ronald Lynn Taylor.
Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Army and Vietnam War. He had a long and distinguished career in sales and a love for the outdoors especially the mountains of Colorado where he was stationed in the Army before deploying to Vietnam. Ronnie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Branch.
