Ron Byard of Princeton, Texas passed on from this life the morning of July 27, 2019, with his loving family by his side. Ron was born in Claude, Texas, on October 24, 1937, to George and Bessie Mae Case Byard.
Ron married the love of his life, Miss Billie Zonell Moore, in Claude, Texas, on August 17, 1957, and they went on to raise their 3 children. He worked his entire adulthood as a salesman…you name it, he could and did sell it. Ron's greatest joy, however, came from being surrounded by his large family. He and his wife always made it a point to personally look after the grandkids and greats rather than calling on a babysitter. Ron was a proud member of the First United Methodist Church of Claude. He loved singing in the church wherever he could help, be it weddings, funerals, etc. He was also a huge sports fanatic cheering on his faves the 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers. He will be remembered as the fun, witty, jokester of the family, keeping everyone on their toes!
Ron is survived by his wife Billie Zonell Byard, their children; Brent Byard, Kim McLaughlin, and Curtis Byard, grandchildren; Patricia Blalock, Dasi Eustace, Krystal Higgins, Brianna Byard, Javier Campos, Andrew Campos, and Alex Campos, great-grandchildren; D.J. Solis, Joshua Solis, Chad Voyles, Cheyenne Smith, Tammy Mata, Eric Mata, and Dylan Eustace, and lastly great-great-grandchildren; Jessica Higgins and Olivia Mata.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, to please make a donation, in Ron's name, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
