Robert Steven Murphy of Wylie, TX passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 after a short illness. He was born April 9, 1964 in Salem, Arkansas. Steve is survived by his wife, Julie Hays Murphy, his son, Cole Murphy, and his daughter, Sydney Murphy.
He is also survived by one sister, Susan Batchelor and her husband Rick of Jena, Louisiana and a brother, Patrick Murphy and his wife Megan of Cullman Alabama. Nephews, Carl Turpin and wife Janie of Sacramento California, David Batchelor and wife Stephanie of Jena, Louisiana, Daniel Batchelor and wife Magen of Jena, Louisiana. Colin Murphy, Autumn Murphy and Liam Murphy of Cullman Alabama. Great Nieces and Nephews: Alyssa Batchelor, Addison Batchelor, Samuel Batchelor, Andrew Batchelor, Vinson Batchelor, Michael Batchelor, Case Bradford, and CJ Turpin.
Other survivors include parents-in-law, John and Lynn Hays and Glenda Hays all of Wylie, TX. Brother-in-law, James Hays and wife Megan, of Terrell, TX and niece, Kailee Hays of Wylie, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Murphy and his mother, Mary Alice Simers Murphy.
He is also survived by one sister, Susan Batchelor and her husband Rick of Jena, Louisiana and a brother, Patrick Murphy and his wife Megan of Cullman Alabama.
