Robert Martin

Beloved husband and father Robert (Bob) Martin went home to God on March 29, 2018 at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Adele of Kissee Mills, MO and three children – Darrell (wife Ana), Jeff and Brian. He is also survived by four grandchildren – Alex, Michael, Elena and David. Robert was born April 14, 1941 in Walters, OK as the fourth of six siblings. He is survived by two sisters – Pat Bridges of Lawton, OK and Sharon McChesney (husband Billy) of Alexander, AR. Bob graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in Psychology in 1963 where he met his beloved wife. He found his calling in retail, working at Woolworth, TG&Y, Walmart, Sam’s, Montgomery Ward, Neiman Marcus, Office Depot and Home Depot.

Visitation / viewing will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 6-8pm at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 601 S Tennessee St, McKinney, TX 75069. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 12pm at 2135 Chapel Ln, McKinney, TX 75069. We thank everyone for their prayers. He will be deeply missed, but we know we will see him again thanks to our faith.
