Robert Paul Kanady passed away on June 8, 2021 at the age of 53 in his hometown of McKinney, Texas. His battle with cancer in this recent year showed his courage of facing life challenges with strength. Despite the pain, Robert came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. He passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest
Robert was born on December 5, 1967 in McKinney, Texas. He lived near Lake Lavon in his later years. Robert held pride in his work. He had a career in fabrication specializing in the aerospace industry. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Robert. He enjoyed the outdoors; being by the lake, fishing, and hunting. In football season you could find him cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, with friends and a beer in hand. Robert loved his dog.
He is survived by his two daughters, Amanda Paige Briton of Melissa, Texas and Amelia Pryce Kanady of Anna, Texas; one grandchild, River Briton of Melissa, Texas; one brother, Rodney Wayne Kanady of Anna, Texas; and a treasure chest of other relatives and dear friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Brenda Joyce Burnside and Billy Don Kanady.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home located at 601 S. Tennessee St., McKinney, TX 75069
