Robert Wayne Higgs

Robert Wayne Higgs (also known as Booger Red) was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was born in Garland, TX on December 6, 1948 and passed away on March 28, 2012. He graduated from Garland High School. Bob was a City Letter Carrier for the Mesquite Post Office for 18 years before eventually retiring. His favorite past-times were country and western dancing, traveling and spending time with his family. Bob was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Higgs in 1970, his father J.W. Higgs in 1994 and his mother Naomi Higgs in 1996. He is survived by his loving children, Tammy Hamrick and her husband, David, of Trenton, TX; Jeff Higgs and his wife, Nichole, of Rockwall, TX; Chris Higgs and his wife, Angie, of Little Elm, TX; and Gary Higgs and his wife, Jaime, of Allen, TX; by several cherished grandchildren: Nicholas Frattarelli, Nathaniel Hamrick, Stefanie Hamrick, Brittany Higgs, Brandon Higgs, Braddock Higgs, Bryson Higgs, Jordan Hawkins, Hailey Hawkins, Chanie Higgs, Kailey Higgs, Cody Higgs and Joshua Higgs, by his sister Judy Woods and her husband, Jim of Garland, TX and his brother Glynn Higgs of Garland, TX, and many other loving relatives and friends. Services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday April 1, 2012 at Axe Memorial UMC of Garland with Pastor Ben Read officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX. Services entrusted to Eastgate Funeral Home.
